SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2009
We seem not to have time anymore, for putting things onto the blog site since our computer crash of late August and the new desire to go Face book all the way.
However, we have included a few pic of some of the bigger things happening in our lives right now.
We have been very busy with the 2009-2010 snowbird season here, all our community events double and in some cases have tripled as to accommodate all here, at the Great Outdoors Resort. Dave is busy with the Courtesy Patrol and I with my Zomba, yoga, cards and bowling. Now Dave is considering re-joining Toastmasters International which he was once a long time member, they will meet twice a month they meet about 3 blocks from our home at the new Fairfield Motel, Conference Room.
September we had a scheduled trip to St. Augustine, however it was canceled as both of us had to see doctors, Dave's heart rate was uncontrollable again and after several extensive test at the hospital's heart center they changed his med's. Then about two weeks later put him back onto the old med as he started to get cramps and charlie horse type pains his limbs. Then his skin rashes started up again, what a mess. The dermatologist cleared that up in two - three days. He's back to his abnormal ( normal ) ha ha now lets hope it stays that way. My illness was cold related and all better now.
In September we did get to go to the local Playhouse to see "I Hate Hamlet" It was to funny and we just loved it.
October, now that was a busy month, that's why we didn't get to issue the month of September blog right away...........
Dave had to have a Cardiology Stress Test, an all day test of the heart flows, he was found to have a strong heart and in good shape. the doctors thinks the problems he has been having with the irregular heart beats now, even with the pacemaker implanted is that one of the pacemakers leads was found dislocated during a routine X-Ray.and after being
dislodged from its intended location which causes the pacemaker to use more power to regulate the heart while its off its target. He can live with it like it is, they will insert a new lead when this pacemaker runs out of power in about 1 1/2- 2 years. They leave the old lead in place but unconnected.
Marge's son Tommy, his fiance Lucy and son Ronnie all came down to visit us for a week. we had a complete schedule Cape Kennedy,Disney World,The Police Hall of Fame, Golf and shopping, eating and more shopping.......
We also attended several parties, our Giant Recreation World Travel Groups Annual Rally for 2009 Titled: "Glitz &Glimmer" then the Black Tie affair "The Masquerade Gala" how elegant it was. And our local annual Halloween Party here at the Great Outdoors Resort, we dressed as the gangster's of south Chicago.
What a life, work a little, party a lot in nice temperature and a great ,safe and beautiful place.
Until next time have fun.
