August 2008

We made it.......................................................

Hello, out there in Friends & Relative world. We made it thru hurricane Fay. And have been planning all our many events for the last quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009. The ideal is to put together a busy schedule of activities 2-3 times what we think we can get done and hope for the best, that we get at least most of what we plan on accomplished.

We have included over 20 pictures in this blog report, with small captions of what is going on with us at the time of the picture, and/or how the picture relates to our current activities at this time of our lives.

Despite the toils of nature and life itself we march on, at a slightly slower speed (pace)but we continue to march. My Honey turns a young good looking 65 on Sept 1st, it seems only like yesterday we had that big birthday party for her. We walk nearly every morning for ½ hour Marge goes to Yoga class Mon & Wed. mornings for 1Hr. while I drive around the park in a Patrol Car sitting on my bottom and nibbling on coffee and snacks, naturally she’s the thin one.

We did get a new exercise machine, which requires little strength, but a lot of agility it’s called the Wii and we just love it, especially the “Bowling” it’s the best next to golf. It’s a matter of fact, I was just telling Marge the other day if we do our Bowling here at the house on the Wii system we can save a lot in many ways.

1 – We can save on the cost of gas going to the Bowling Ally and back home…………….

2 – We can save on the cost of the games at the Bowling Ally………..

3 - We can save our strength, we pick up a 5oz Wii wond VS. a 12 - 14 lb Bowling ball

We will still go Bowling occasionally, but not on a constant league ………………

Arrangements have been put in placed for us to visit Silver River State Park, here in Florida for the weekend of September 12th – 15th and Lake Okeechobee Oct 23rd to the 26th. Both of these trips are for camping with the Giant Recreation World Gold Club to which we are members.
Along with all this, we have a Fall Foliage Train trip up thru the Georgia – Tennessee Mountains October 5th – 9th planned.

January, Dave’s sister and brother-in-law are returning to Florida, and we hope to go places with them too. Also our dear friend Alice & John are coming to Florida for three months and have a condo reserved at Pelican Brief on the Indian River in Titusville, so we will also spend some time with them over the first quarter of the year.
