Hello Friends & Relatives, 09-15-07We were hoping to get all the way to Yellowstone National Park today but we got a late start this morning, ( Marge was tied up in "Makeup & Wardrobe"). Also we stopped at several locations to snack, rest and take pictures of the beautiful landscape.
We are only 53 miles away in a town called Cody,Wyoming. This town was founded by Buffalo Bill "Cody".
We have some personal matters to attend to today. Dave is in need of a haircut and Marge needs her nails done!!!! However, it is Sunday so it may not get done today. We normally stay at the Comfort Inns & Suites however, they were booked solid for this evening so we managed to get a suite, two bedrooms, a kitchen and dinnette area "Clean Too" up the road aways. Fran & Dan Swope out of Riverside New Jersey(Alice and John take note) are the owners of the Carter Mountain Motel where we stayed. It is a cute cottage type setup on the side of a mountain naturally and when we went to get the room in the lobby, their pet parrot " Peek-a-boo" had to say hi, and scared the begebees out of Dave.
We missed the daily 6pm cowboy gunfight at the Irma Hotel (named after Cody's daughter) today as we arrived at 6:30. Oh well, I'm sure we will run across another one between here and Texas.
