Today we put over 600 miles on the car, we did get a chance to stop briefly at two special places before we reached our hotel in Rapid City ( Mt. Rushmome ) We stopped at a South of the Boarder type place called The Corn Palace and the 1880 Town both tourist traps and yes we were caught in the traps, but it did give us a chance to stop and get out of the car and walk for about a half an hour. Then it was back on the road to Rapid City here we will spend the next two days. Tomorrow we will join a tour group to visit seven points of intrest including the Rushmore it will be in an air conditioned bus for 9 hours and includes a western show and two cowboy meals.
