Granbury, TX
WOW, what a day we had in Oklahoma City, OK this morning. Our main reason for going to the city was to see the memorial of the Federal Building disaster back in 1995. It was the most moving memorial we have ever been to other than an immediate family member funeral.
It was truly a crime against the innocent.
I have included some of the actual information of the Monument within the pictures, however, no picture taking was permitted inside the museum. Trust me it was moving to everyone who attended even 12 years later. The tree Marge is standing under is called the " Survivor Tree" because it was the only tree that survived the explosion in the area. The water in the picture is only 3/4 " deep and represents the street that ran in front of the Federal bldg.
On a brighter note we arrived in Granbury, Texas a small historical town where I lived for three and 1/2 years while in the Nuclear Power Plant Construction Industry. Tomorrow, we will tour around and drive downtown where they have some little shops.
