Fort Worth, Texas

Today we roamed around the Fort Worth Stockyards. We went into the world famous Billy Bob's where they have the longest bar in the world and an indoor rodeo. We had a picture taken of us on this huge, of course fake bull. That was pretty wild! Then we walked about the stockyard area and wanted to see a round up of the cattle which they do every day at 11am and 2pm but it was only up to September 15th. Missed out on that. The picture with the hand prints on the wall are from celebrities that performed at Billy Bob's.

We did eat in a great Saloon Type restaurant called "Riscky's." Dave had the filet and Marge a chicken taco salad, All in all the food was great. We also went into several stores with every cowboy or cowgirl item you could possibly need or want, along with other neat items.

The town is too cool as all the Hotels are maintained in the early western decor, and the very very best time to go to Fort Worth is on the weekend and if possible during what they call "Frontier Days." We were there at the wrong time or maybe not.
NOTE TO GLADYS V.: We received your e-mail but can't reply for some reason. Sounds like you had an awful time getting home. We really enjoyed our time with you and Janet. Will get back to you when possible.

Hi Dave & Marge

My Brother, Dan lives in Fort Worth and when we were there a few years ago we saw Loretto Lynne, at Billy Bobs. It's a Big place, with an indoor Rodeo. right down the street from the stockyards. Some good restaurants in that location.
